Nigeria, especially Lagos, is not for the novice traveler and even a seasoned traveler with experience in Africa should have the help of someone on the inside. So why go to Nigeria? It will give you a glimpse of the potential for this country. It is beautiful and rich in natural resources. If you can get over the poverty, the heat and very real fear for your life , Nigeria is a fascinating place. The people are friendly, entrepreneurial, and smart. Because they were ruled by England until recently, everyone speaks English well so language won't be a barrier.
